The Backyard Parallax

This project was my first exploration into using a parallax effect. It is a recreation of my home backyard in Alaska.

As you scroll down the page, the obejcts in the forground and background will shift at a different speeds. This effect mimics what a person sees in reality creating an artificial sense of depth.

Parallax scrolling is a useful design technique that expands on static and boring websites. I even used a small parallax scroll in the background of the website you are currently using!
